Purpose Change the runner's flow before returning to the right-side crease. Pair it with the direct Power look after defenders begin chasing the backfield action.
Backfield execution gives at the right-side exchange. carries briefly left behind the line, then redirects right and gets vertical. The direction change comes after the exchange in this drawing; it does not show a pre-snap jab or a run finishing left.
Assignments
Coach it Walk the runner's path with the exchange first. Then install the pulling or lead-block responsibilities against the defensive front. The short line marks on this card do not specify a complete guard/tackle pulling path; agree on those jobs before increasing speed.
Watch for Backside penetration, a patient defender staying in the return lane, or a runner adding extra cuts. The call changes flow; it does not guarantee that the defense will follow the fake.
