QB key reads the deep defenders' movement, looking first to and then in the seams. Take underneath when the deep routes are carried. An outside one-on-one is an alert, not a reason to force a contested deep ball.
Assignments
Coach it Practice one seam and its outlet first, then add the opposite seam and a safety. Against split safeties, read their leverage; against one high safety, work away from its movement only if underneath coverage also allows the throw.
Watch for Match coverage can carry all four routes, pressure can arrive before they develop, and a compressed field removes space. Four vertical routes do not guarantee an uncovered receiver.
