Film Room, step by step
The recording will follow this exact sequence so coaches can keep the page open as a checklist while they work in their own team.
Step 1
Set the privacy boundary
A team owner enables Film Room, confirms they are authorized to upload the footage, and decides who can upload, whether athletes can view and comment, and whether downloads are allowed.
Step 2
Choose the right upload path
Use Individual plays for one or several short clips. Use Entire game for one continuous recording that you will split into plays after processing.
Step 3
Break down the full game
Mark each snap, keep the built-in pre-roll, and drag either edge to correct the start or finish. Timeouts and halftime remain natural gaps instead of becoming fake plays.
Step 4
Coach the frame
Pause or frame-step to the moment you want. Draw, add a point, arrow, circle, or text box, then pair the visual with a coaching note and choose exactly how long it stays visible.
Step 5
Discuss and share
Create a clip, reply to the note thread, or share a note-specific link. Authorized viewers open on the marked frame with the coaching context intact.
Before you upload
Confirm that your team has every required athlete, parent, guardian, league, and venue permission. Film may include images, voices, names, and embedded capture data. When available, capture time and GPS can help connect the video to a scheduled game or practice; exact coordinates remain owner-only and do not appear in playback. Upload only footage you are authorized to share.
Review Film Room privacyStorage and processing
Paid Film Room plans include 25 stored hours. The app warns at 75% and 90% usage. At the limit, new uploads pause while existing film remains available; nothing is upgraded or deleted automatically.
Browser uploads accept source files up to 64 GB, including raw 4K game footage. Film Room processes those sources into private review playback up to 1080p. Files over 10 GB use one large-upload slot, so let that upload finish or cancel it before starting another.
Ready to review your own film?
Film Room is an optional Team Coach add-on. Eligible Team Coach accounts can upload and keep up to 25 hours of their own film during a 7-day free trial. A card is required, and the monthly or annual plan selected at checkout starts automatically after the trial unless it is canceled first.
